Track UPCEA’s Strategic Planning Process Online
UPCEA has created a website for those interested in the Association’s strategic planning process. The site maps out the planning process from its inception in January 2011 to approval of the Final Draft, slated for January 2012. The timeline includes a link to an executive summary of a comprehensive study by McKinley marketing, a firm specializing in assisting Associations.
 
 
Registration is now open for the 20th Annual UPCEA Marketing Seminar
Don’t miss the 20th anniversary of this premier gathering in CE marketing! “Rock Enroll: Amp Up Your Marketing & Get Rock Star Results” will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Pre-conference sessions will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, and seminar programming will continue through 1 p.m. on Friday, November 18. Register today! The submission deadline for presentation proposals has been extended to August 17! Submit your proposals today.
 
 
Save the Date: Webinar on State Authorization Regulation
UPCEA and WCET will offer a free webinar on August 25 at 2 p.m. EST on how institutions are navigating the compliance process and what impact the regulation may have on institutions. Jim Fong, Director of UPCEA’s CRC and WCET’s Russ Poulin, a leading expert on the regulation, will share the results of a survey of 215 UPCEA and WCET members. The event will be 75 minutes long. More information regarding registration for the webinar will follow.
 
 
UPCEA to Offer Live Streaming Video Coverage of Online Learning Summit
UPCEA’s Summit on the Future of Online Learning (September 15-16 in Chicago) will have a live video stream for all plenary sessions. The Association has partnered once again with Sonic Foundry to webcast the event in real-time, and on-demand after the event. Individual packages are priced affordably at $159, while institutional passes are just $299. Details concerning how to participate online will follow.

UPCEA Co-Hosts Forum on Technical Innovation in Higher Education on Sept. 21
UPCEA and the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU) are hosting a "Creating the Classroom of the Future: Technological Innovation Transforming Higher Education," on Sept. 21 from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. This forum is designed to showcase the powerful technological innovations transforming higher education in the U.S. and abroad. There is no charge for the event, however, you are required to register.
 
Leading experts will speak at the event, including University of Illinois Professor and widely acclaimed e-learning guru Raymond Schroeder; Michael Orey, Professor at the University of Georgia; and John Flores, Executive Director of the U.S. Distance Learning Association (USDLA) and Executive Administrator and Program Professor at Nova Southeastern University – Fischler School of Education and Human Services. They will discuss major trends revolutionizing education, such as social media, mobile technology, e-earning, and globalization.
 
Stephen Joel Trachtenberg, President Emeritus, University Professor of Public Service at George Washington University, will provide introductory remarks at the forum. The first panel, “Future Trends Driving Technological Innovation in Education,” begins at 9:15 a.m. The second panel, “Practitioners Successfully Using New Technologies in Education,” begins at 10:30 a.m. and will be moderated by UPCEA CEO Robert Hansen.
